i spend most of my time trying to record tiny electrical currents and pulses of light from neurons and attempting to think not-as-tiny thoughts about it. its often a lot of frustration, but i don't know any other job that lets you use lasers and power tools, code, and bump my favorite jams everyday.
over the last 2 years my interests in music and in computers have collided in a painfully (in retrospect) obvious way, and i'm producing and djing in ableton live (mostly djing) when i have the time, and programming patches in max/msp. i'm hype to collab, so hit me up if you want to do something.

Great list of reading you have up. Have you gotten to Dan Simmons' Ilium and Olympos? One of the best combinations of textual science and fiction I've ever come across.
wow i'm so amped! okay...ya ever notice those offers sending to one another? me, honestly i thought it was a joke..., but i filled one out the other day, for a free cash card worth like $500 for Macys, and amazingly it did work i can't believe it. you should click here and grab one too, you see...?
Damn! Your comment made me dig out Takusagawa's note (c)...the agony. I particularly love the copyright symbol he put on there, considering that it seriously rips off Voet & Voet.
