Behind a curtain of flowing blonde hair and subtle sensuality reigns a childish spirit of innocence, who while playing her guitar and singing one day, captured the inspiration of her husband. What ensued is the collective vision of husband and wife, Michael and Elizabeth and their musical endeavor, GIFTS IN SECRET.

Though animated and jovial in person, Beth's music creates a contrary atmosphere simple in its folk-like melody yet wrought with a sense of the nostalgic and melancholic. Inspired by her creations, Mike interprets her work to form an artful myriad of sounds, organic in their genesis and intimate in their expression. What results is an ethereal and raw blend of textures, guitar and simple beats met with Beth's spectral vocals and an occasional hint of their 1980's fandom.

In her teens, Elizabeth traveled through parts of Europe, performing live as a vocalist for a touring ensemble that performed for thousands of people in countries like Romania and Hungary. Her touring even led to a performance at the White House in DC. Elizabeth's studies also took her overseas where she had the opportunity to engage people of all different cultures and walks of life. Her experiences both home and abroad find expression in her music.

Husband, Mike, has a widespread background in various forms of musical activity ranging from the ancient to the contemporary. His creative aspirations over the last 15 years include publication in the independent heavy metal, neo-folk, medieval, electronic and ambient genres, with 13 full length albums and a host of cassette and vinyl releases published between the various bands and genres he performs in. He has published with labels from America, UK, Austria, Germany, Sweden, Italy, Greece, Argentina and Holland and has scored two independent horror films. His music has been described as everything from "genuinely harrowing" to "magical" and "meaningful and diversified."
