Who I'd like to meet:

Gi'iwa - (Lycoperdon Mixtecorum) "fungus of the first quality" - species of "puffball" mushroom inducing auditory hallucinations.

Spawned from the desire to inject some humour and psych0delic mayhem back into the psytrance scene, Gi'iwa Productions was formed by Reece, Peta & Aaron on the east coast of Australia in 2001.

The crew came together because of a shared passion for a style of psychedelic music that has begun to grow from the fringes of the global electronic music scene, but which has seen only limited releases on the international market.

Amidst the current flood of formulaic releases, Gi'iwa aims to provide a platform for innovative artists who strive to push the boundaries of acceptable psychedelic trance-floor music.

Tamlin - Spectrogram
After tantalizing his fans on various compilation releases throughout the past few years, Faerie Dragon Records, in conjunction with Gi'iwa Productions, are proud to present the debut album from Swedish producer Tamlin. Utilizing his distinctly original sound palette of trademark analogue basslines, quirky erratic fx and powerful driving melodies - with a heavy nod in the direction of old-school Goa, Tamlin creates a unique blend of innovative story-telling and epic dancefloor journey music....




From a Nutter Perspective - Sienis - 2007
The debut album of Eki Jokisalo from Sweden, making music under this project since 2000, with the former member Marko Peteri, releasing tracks on compilations at labels such as Exogenic, Stoneage, Devic Craft, Fabula Records and etc. Known with his crazy funky psytrance, he's now releasing a full album on Australian label Gi'iwa Productions.

SoundScool - Sattel Battle - 2007
Gi’iwa Productions is proud to present SoundsCool, the first full length album release from Israeli maestro Sattel Battle.
The debut psyber-punk sound of Dotman raised curious eyebrows amongst the psychedelic community, and his latest releases Fuck it (ExUus rmx) & Stupid Computer on the Musica Discordia compilation, has left the question “why is this ex-metal guitarist so damn funky?”

After spending years in the classroom, refining his musical theory and production techniques, Sattel Battles' sound emerges as an urbanized collage of rock, metal, punk, blues, goa psychedelia & suomi saundi influences. Fusing slick funky basslines, innovative melodic ideas, and layers of oozing spatial tangents, the result is an untamed hi-tech sonic safari, deliberately designed for maximum dancefloor carnage and all round super-fun-happy-times.
