Gilbert is a person and a band. The band comprises 4/5 people playing drums and percussion, bass, organs, violins, horns, singing, and speaking. They perform regularly thoroughout London and also played sets at the 2007 Green Man Festival and 2008 Loop Festival.
The person was born in London, England, in the late 20th Century and is a drummer/keyboard player who studied classical music and composition at Oxford University and Goldsmith's College, before writing soundtracks for film, television and theatre for some years. In 2007 he completed an eponymously-entitled album which is currently available for download:
