The Gilbert Quick Orchestra were put together in 2007 by pop curator and songwriter Gilbert Quick to perform at arts venues across Wessex.
The GQO are a nine-piece experimental pop collective with a line-up
featuring boy / girl vocals, guitars, harp, drums, keyboards, brass, flute, theramin, glockenspiel, stylophone and sound interventions.
Gilbert Quick has supplied his orchestra with catchy pop songs and turquoise lab coats.
Hello! I really enjoyed yr gig last Monday at the arts centre, I had a good time. Great pop songs with an experimental edge. The electric harp sounded beautiful, and I especially liked what the guy with the welding mask was doing - theremin, vinyl samples and noise. Excellent! I hope to witness another live performance sometime soon. Thanks, Adam
