I was born on May 24, 1977, in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.
When I was 13 years, I’ve started playing the acoustic guitar influenced by 80’s and 90’s Hard Rock and Heavy Metal bands and guitar players such as Steve Vai and Joe Satriani.
I was Kamasutra’s guitar player for 9 years (1998 - 2007), besides being the band musical producer and in charge of recording and mixing its debut album.
After leave Kamasutra, in 2007, I’ve started Street Flash (a band dedicated to play covers of the 80’s Hard Rock stars) with Magnus Wichmann (guitar – Scelerata), Francis Cassol (drums – Scelerata), Pedro Fauth (bass – Fighterlord) and Victor Wichmann (vocal). For some personal issues, I left Street Flash in 2008.
Since 2007, I’ve being working as a DJ in Hard/Metal parties.
Besides Kamasutra and Street Flash, I’ve player in some local bands like Estação Zero, Alma Beat, Dr. Rosa Morte, Prana and Dallas, which changed its name to Kamasutra few years later.
Nowadays, I’m playing with a project-band called Lovers. It was conceived by Ted Winger and developed by me (guitar), Luciano Gillan (vocals), Leo James (guitar), Ted Winger (bass), Karina Lynn (keyboards) and Guga Criss (drums). At Lovers, I play Hard Rock ballads, doing cover of the 80’s most important bands.
Beyond being a musician and DJ, I also an Advertised, graduate by UNISINOS, playing jobs as Web Master and Designer creating mostly internet sites and MySpace profiles (to know more about my jobs in this area, go to www.gilbysweet.com).
