Gilded Lily's core is comprised of Natalie Hibbert, who was born in Middle-sex London and moved to NY, then on to sunny Ft Lauderdale Florida as a young adolescent. Natalie is a very soft-spoken songstress who is a conviction-centered person; her strength comes from her beliefs. You can tell by Gilded Lily's song content that she possesses a worldly perspective, a good understanding of humanity and firm values. To hear her you can tell that she stands behind all that she sings and has entrenched her soul, in every word.
Mike "Buze" Busa, who moved from NY to Ft Lauderdale as a young child, is a pure rocker. You could see him having hung out with he big leaguers. Mike is the "Just do it!" guy of Gilded Lily, he handles all the grudge work, He shoots the Lily videos, mixes the music, books the shows, produces the music and writes and plays guitar. Buze does more than play guitar; every cord and string means something for him in each song. Mike plays like he is making his guitar sing.
The Story:
Natalie and Mike found each other at a warehouse party, there began the development of mutual respect for one another's talents and a strong enduring friendship whose foundation was based on their mutual love for God and commitment to music. Then Natalie was diagnosed with an over active thyroid that had swollen her neck so bad that Doctors said it had to be removed, they also said she would probably never sing again. With in 4 weeks after the operation, Natalie was back behind the Mic, contributing her recovery solely to God. With her newfound love for the lord, Natalie led Mike to Christ and they decided to reform the band and devote there music to the word of God, stating “The Lord put the love of music in our hearts, we just want to give back, by spreading the word of Christ and his return.” Gilded Lily offers the promise of being unlike anything you've seen or heard before and captivating you in a way that revolutionizes your appreciation for music.
