Singer and songwriter, born in the South of France, Gilles Luka is the son of a jazz singer mother and a musician father. He grew up in a steady atmosphere of music and journeys abroad.
After his A-Levels and a Bachelor of Arts in Technology and Audio Visual Support, this self-made multi- instrumentalist travelled round the world searching for more musical experiences.
Signed to Sony Music in 2001, his debut album Galleon (watch the video of So I Begin), established his reputation as a great hit writer and singer. The record reached Gold Status, remained a disco and radio first hit for several weeks as well as being ranked among the 10 best sellers in France . Success was not limited to France as the album sold worldwide in the United States and 26 other countries.
Today, after 4 years of preparation, Gilles is coming back with a new Electro Pop album : "80'08", in which his influences from the Eighties become obvious and really make sense. This big fan of Peter Gabriel, Sting and Genesis is getting back to his roots !!
Né d'un père musicien et d'une mère chanteuse de jazz, Gilles Luka grandit dans une atmosphère de musique et de voyages.

Après de nombreuses rencontres et projets divers, il trouve le succès avec le projet électronique GALLEON (Sony music), qu'il co-compose et interprète.
Disque d'or, 1er des clubs, 1er des radios et classé dans les 10 meilleures ventes plusieurs semaines consécutives. Le succès de ce projet ne se limite pas à la France, il s’étend dans le monde et fût commercialisé dans plus de 27 pays, dont les États-Unis.
Aujourd’hui, après quatre années de préparation Gilles revient avec un nouvel album Pop-Electronique : « 80 : 08 », dans lequel ses influences Eighties prennent toute leur ampleur, ce grand fan de Peter Gabriel, Sting, Génesis… retrouve ses racines !
