Likes: my son's laughter first thing in the morning, stability, Texas, food, Starbucks, my comfy clothes, flip-flops, organization, cleaning out closets and drawers, donating things I don't need, gossip websites and magazines, reading "chick-lit," going to the movies and to dinner with friends and family, traveling, thunderstorms, looking at photos of natural disasters and comparison photos of buildings and streets of what they look like now compared to 50 years ago, black and white photography, people watching, me-time, lazy sunday afternoons, a tidy home, going on drives (as long as I'm not driving), airports, taking a walk on a nice summer day, swimming, earning a paycheck, saving money and knowing I can support myself and my son and still have money left over to save, my SUV- no matter how "non-green" it is to have one these days, animals, zoos, aquariums, music, going to sporting events, etc...
Dislikes: alcohol, drugs, politics, being tickled or scared, my poor self esteem regarding body image, girly stuff like spas, manicures and pedicures, outdoors-y things such as hiking and camping, SHOPPING-especially for clothes, living in big cities, driving in big cities and working in big cities, arrogant people, seafood and fish, temper tantrums-especially in the morning, watching one too many episodes of Spongebob Squarepants, clutter, disorganization, dressing up, fancy restaurants, socks and slippers, basketball, scary movies, sci-fi movies, musicals, etc...
Music
The Killers is my favorite band right now. Love most types of music except heavy metal and rap. I've come to realize this past week that as nerdy as it may sound, I love most Bryan Adams songs. Lately, I've been listening to this new station called The Cowboy..."It's not old country, but when country was new"...I'm really starting to like it...I like songs with an easy story to follow...
Movies
Way too many to name, but some of the movies at the top of my list include The Notebook, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Juno, Singles, The Holiday, Sweet Home Alabama, The Wedding Singer, 50 First Dates, Rushmore, any of the Brat Pack movies, Teen Witch, Shop Girl, Closer, Unfaithful, Hope Floats,They Way We Were.
Television
Don't really watch TV all that much but I do love The Office, The Biggest Loser, and Ruby. There's nothing better than catching a mini marathon of Seinfeld or Sex in the City. I followed The Sopranos from day one way back in 1998, a completely devoted Sopranos fan who has never seen the final episode.
Books
Any Nicholas Sparks, Emily Giffin or Erin McCarthy books. I'm a sucker for Chick-Lit or any soft core/erotic romance novels. haha
Heroes
My parents for sticking together for 45 years and counting. My sister, Leilanie, who fought so hard through her cancer but kept a great outlook on life.
About me:
I am the mother to Camdyn, the funniest, silliest, most random 4 year old little boy who is pretty much scared of everything! I could never imagine loving something in this world as much as I love him! I am the daughter of David and Marian Thomas who just celebrated 45 years of marriage! Way to go Mom and Dad! The sister to 5 very different and unique siblings: Terrence (aka Terry), the scholar and intellectual (he even studied at Oxford one semester!); Corrinna (aka Corki), the jock with wild, curly hair who is a totally awesome mother to Noel & Rory!; Leilanie (aka Lanie or Snooki) who is in Heaven now, but she was so fun and full of life and I miss her so dearly every day as do her two children, Sundae & Cheyenne; Schylur (aka Sky), well, let's just say he's the black sheep of the family!; and the youngest of 6- Kasey (aka Kase), so quirky, superstitious and mildly OCD who I've found out, after helping her move this past weekend, collects WAY too many things! My boyfriend Travis is such a wonderful man who has not only made my life better and more positive but has also accepted my son into his life as well. I can't wait to see where life takes the three of us! My favorite place to be is with my entire family. Regarding myself, I am a pretty down to earth person, even-keeled but can sometimes be a "petite pitbull" as someone called me one time! I'm a horrible debater because I can see the good AND bad sides of most issues EXCEPT Death Penalty & Abortion. I rarely ever watch the news due to a mild to severe depression I get everytime I DO actaully watch it. I can't believe how many awful people are in this world! I HATE politics and refuse to even discuss it for fear of sounding like an idiot. I have been at the same job for over 6 years now. I work at a funeral home which most people find odd but it fits me as I've always had a morbid facination with death despite my usual sunny exterior!

Hey Benettia didn't get a hold of me on Friday or this whole weekend. You think I should call her and ask if she's heard anything or is that being a little pushy?
Gonna go see Ruth today at 10:30 if you want to go along. You may have some insight that me and Joel don't! Or if you just want to be nosey and go see it hehehe.
