Influences
I worked with a lot of artists in the 80s as a backing vocalist based in London before I moved to France.. Eurythmics, John Cale (Velvet Underground), Phil Collins, Jo Cocker, Roger Taylor and Brian May of QUEEN, Sir Bob Geldof, Spandeau Ballet, Big Country, Keith Emerson, John Parr, Max and the Broadway Metal Choir, The The, Thunder, FM, Junior Walker ...and I'm sure they have all had some effect on me for better and for worse..but my first love will always be the great soul divas that I heard in the 70s on tamla motown and atlantic..Aretha and Chakka,Lorraine Ellison,Dusty Springfield.
It was only later that I began to listen to Ella and Sara Vaughn...

I..m a girl with a finger in a lot of different pies..this particular project is a duo with sly athann. Here are a few trax from our first album together on an indie label from Brittany, France.
We started out as a song writing partnership and then won the largest Internet contest in Europe, WANADOO DISCOVERIES EUROPE 2005 (80,000 votes cast). We won the UK competition and then faced acts from France, Spain and the Netherlands in the final (all signed to major labels with serious publicity machines). The result was announced live at the NIKAIA stadium in Nice. It was good to see the power of the Internet to put artists in direct contact with a large public..But we know all about that on myspace, don..t we ? Gillian O'Donovan

Here at last!! The long and eagerly-awaited single, I'M GOOD, finally has a release date.
The single will be out on 09/ June / 2008. And will be available for download worldwide on: itunes, Rhapsody, Napster, eMusic, Groupie Tunes, Amazon MP3 and Lala.
