Currently recording her debut Album 'Count my blessings', Simone Gill performs original soul-rnb-pop around home town Melbourne. From soulful and introspective ballads to lively rnb tunes featuring elements of blues, funk and jazz, Simones compositions are given vibrancy as she combines with accomplished Melbourne musos Jaimi Faulkner (guitar), Luke Hodgson (bass) and Graeme Pogson (drums).
The tracks here feature the talented Megan Bernard on piano ["On hold for love" and "wash it away" and Nat Bartsch ["Xuan Lan" and "what will it be"])
Based on everyday experiences, Simone hopes to engage the listener with her music's honesty and openness.
Simone has recently performed at Veludo, Ruby's Lounge, Bar Nancy, Elwood Lounge, Manchester Lane, George bar and many others. Simone can be seen in acoustic duo or full band line ups.
Apart from her original project, Simone is also a backing vocalist for other artists such as the talented Bianca Fenn and James Hampton.
