Sometime in the early 2000s, Gina and Stolie played in the basement of a pizza parlour in Chicago and met for the first time. They continued to run into each other around town and were constantly impressed by each other's talent and fortitude as they individually payed their dues and made names for themselves in Chicago's expansive music scene.
During the summer of 2005, Gina was asked to play at a venue that insisted on having a cover DUO so she invited Stolie along to help get the job done. Now, with hundreds of covers and original music in the arsenal, Gina and Stolie have decided to continue this endeavor. They knew they were just plain good enough individually, and together? A complete juggernaut.
Gina & Stolie are tight, tight, tight. This is fun, high quality musical entertainment by two girls who have been at it for a long time. Their voices blend together so naturally. As accomplished singer-songwriters and talented self-taught guitar players, once you catch the Gina & Stolie fever, you'll need a couple Advil.
In March 2008, Gina & Stolie welcomed their first collaborative CD of original music, Mine is Yours, available at CDBaby.com and now on iTunes! (Search for Gina and Stolie). The disc features a mixture of live and studio-recorded original songs by songwriters Gina Gonzalez and Stolie as well as "Dreams" by the Cranberries.
