Gina's Interests

General	I have enjoyed being outdoors this summer with my job, volunteering with youth, traveling, scrapbooking, getting together with friends, watching movies, playing games, writing letters, hot tubbin' in our hot tub room....
Music	I mostly dig Contemporary Christian music from Third Day to Jennifer Knapp to Worship albums. I have also enjoyed some pretty good rock music in my day. I still love the bands I adored in high school...oh the fun times I had going to rock concerts...especially when my ticket was in the mosh pit. Oh man! I was a big Jewel fan but she's kind of become more mainstream and don't enjoy her quite as much, but love playing her songs.
Movies	Favorites would have to be Drop Dead Gorgeous (I watched it twice this labor day weekend)...I could watch it thousands of times, then like Corky Romano, Boys and Girls, Happy Gilmore, Just like Heaven, Can't Hardly Wait, then of course the ones that change you, Schindler's List, Pay it Forward, The Notebook (big one)etc. We're big movie watchers and love just about anything!
Television	Of course, the good ol' shows like Saved by the Bell, and Full House never get old to me...even if I can recite it line by line--Moshi, Moshi, Dude! I hate to admit, that the dial is usually turned to 236---E! Television. I'm a junky for an E! True Hollywood Story or the Simple Life. When I'm not watching these things, Jeff is the Television programmer in our house, so I've gotten into 24 and According to Jim.
Books	I like to read all sorts...either what Oprah or Kristi recommend. The ones that I pick out for myself, usually are from Christian Bookstores. I really enjoyed a whole, whole bunch, Mere Christianity. Currently on "Becoming a Contagious Christian." Sorry, haven't gotten into Harry Potter here.
Heroes	My Parents, My Grandpa Ryan...he's the best one in the world I'm convinced, Faith the dog that walks on her hind two legs (compliments of E! again), Janet, my 4 best friends--Lisa, Sarah, Kristi and Kelly, all continue to inspire me. Then topping the list of Heroes would be Jesus, who did only Heroic things.

Melanie	May 22 2008 10:41 PM It isn't too hard for my youngest because we have lived her since she was almost 2 months old. It is the older one that misses home and wants to know when we will move back. Try explaining all that to a 6 year old. Although she is smart just like her dad
Melanie	May 13 2008 1:15 PM John got a geology job down here. We want to go back home though. Maybe in a few years we will end up where we should be. I am a mother of two beautiful girls. They are total replicas of John though. Pity me! I just got a message from Dan a couple days ago too.
