About me:
ABOUT PURE METALOCITY
The name comes from a delirium of madness due to insomnia and excessive beer drinking while trying to say, "metal velocity." Go figure.
PURE METALOCITY is a place to check out reviews on shows and performances, albums, bands, and interviews, and also offers promotional value for featured bands. It also features videos from attended shows.
There will be an official PURE METALOCITY website in the future, but for now, "Myspazz" is the best opportunity available for a sense of publication until the site is established.
As you can tell by the name, it's purely metal. Anywhere from doom metal, to death, to black, to grind, to thrash, to melodic metal, and everything else under the glorious metal genre. This is STRICTLY heavy, extreme metal. Hard rock and softer, "pop" metal are not featured on PURE METALOCITY.

I am now stretching out to other people involved in the metal music industry!! If you have a project involving heavy metal, or work for heavy metal bands as a designer, manager, etc, are the founder of an organization of a metal sort, an author of a book about metal, own a metal clothing line, or anything of that nature, please contact me.

ABOUT GINA GROTESQUE
While I think the focus of this page should be on the featured music, There is a real human behind it and lots of people tend to ask about her.
The team of PURE METALOCITY isn't so much a "team," but a one-man show... or even a one-girl show, actually. (Aside from the featured bands, of course!)
Gina Grotesque is my name, and I love writing and heavy fucking metal. PURE METALOCITY is the combination of the two greatest things in my life; writing and music. I'm the writer, editor, entreprenuer, owner, ect. etc. etc., of PURE METALOCITY.
People always say my name wrong. To make it a little clearer, the "G" in "Gina" is pronounced hard. Exactly like the "G" in "Grotesque." It does NOT make a J sound. Yes, I know that is fuckin weird, but it's Norwegian, and Norwegians are fuckin crazy! (Hello... church burning black metal anyone?)
With all my heart, I am fully dedicated to heavy metal. I have been writing all my life and I pride myself with my way of using the pen and paper (Or, keyboard in this case). I'm a fiery red-headed metal fan from Washington state. I love metal. I really do.
I strongly believe that metal bands and musicians should be shown as much support and adoration as possible, and I can often be caught spending more money than I can afford at a metal show on merch and probably (meaning most likely) also getting absolutely wasted on whiskey and Jager bombs. It makes me feel good knowing my money went to something I love (the music, not the hangover), even when I go over my bank statements and realize I fucked up next month's rent.
I also firmly stand by the fact that fans of metal should stick together, in a brotherhood and sisterhood of metal. We are a family, and we ought to love each other as so. Standing side by side and uniting with common interests is a beautiful thing. This is also why I am currently prospecting for NYDM (New York Death Militia), and I hope to one day become an official member.
Stay strong, stay brutal, keep it metal!
