Gina Lee began singing with Honeywagon in Omaha NE then Tucson AZ in 1995. They received high praise very rapidly for their authentic country rockabilly sound. When they disbanded Gina Lee went to South Plains Community College in Levelland TX to study with the greats.
While there, she learned and played with such greats as Joe Carr (western swing guitar guru), Alan Munde (IBMA banjo player of the year), and Rusty Hudelson (yodeler extraordinaire).
Currently, she resides in Austin TX and plays out locally every week. She has teamed up with Ricky Rees on bass, Sweet Basil McJagger (piano and Hammond Organ pro currently also with The Derailers), Tom Umberger (Stumbleweeds and the Racketeers lead guitar man), Ray Strucker (on trumpet), and Chris Stelly (Handsome Charlies) on the drums.
Now available, her new album featuring some of her new friends in Austin, Maryann Price, Redd Volkaert, Slim Richey, Floyd Domino, Joe McDermott, Kevin Smith, and many more. Also, the Bloodshot compilation album tribute to Wanda Jackson is available in stores.

"Ticklin' The Strings" by Sweet Hollywaiians
Amazing Japanese hot string band playing 1920's, 30's, 40's style hawaiian, swing, calypso, blues, italian music and originals, featuring vintage instruments.3 songs with Robert Armstrong and Tony Marcus(from Robert Crumb and His Cheap Suit Serenaders)
"The Sweet Hollywaiians have probably the best feel for this 20's music of any string band working today. They manage the rare feat of sounding relaxed even when their playing is hot, are top notch musicians with tasteful arrangements and a full, rich, warm sound.Plus, they have a nice gamut of tunes, from King Nawahi to Giovanni Vicari to Bobby Leecan. See them live, if you can, for an unforgettable experience. If you can't, buy their Cds!" ~ Terry Zwigoff
