Along with Gina Maria, the singer/songwriter, this album shows off the talents of Takako Williams, pianist; Jacob Kramer, guitarist/guitar arranger; Jie-Yin Wu, harpist; and Samba Guisse, drummer. Our fabulous recording engineer is Vinson Hudson.
Gina is also a member of the West Coast Songwriters, Teaching Artists Organized, the Lions Club of Belmont, and her family's production company, LMS Productions, is a member of Theatre Bay Area.

Spiritual Coffee is an album full of original music based on sacred writings from around the world. Ancient tests from Buddhism and Christianity are presented alongside current texts about the Goddess and Native American spirituality. Written and performed by Gina Maria, the music of each song that reflects a primarily-western base is sprinkled with the cultural flavor of the society from which each text arose. Gina Maria (Latimerlo (formerly, Merlo)) has been performing since she was 15, in over 30 theatrical productions and 50+ concerts and recitals. She has a B.A.s in the fields of Theatre, Music, and English from Notre Dame de Namur University, as well as teaching credentials in those fields. She has attended professional training programs in vocal technique, musical theatre, opera, pop, and drama in the Bay Area, L.A., and New York.
Gina has been teaching and directing all ages since 1995 and instructing voice, acting, and songwriting through private lessons at her Latimerlo Studio since 1998. She has a clientele of forty delightful students aged 9-90. Her original dramatic scripts have been performed at Notre Dame de Namur University, Hillbarn Theatre, Off-Market Theatre, and LMS Productions. A songwriter in the shower since age 10, Spiritual Coffee marks her debut as a recording artist and performing singer/songwriter. She has been exploring spiritualities of all kinds since age 12. This album marks the culmination of many of her passions and is a snapshot of her soul!

I'm not sure...but I think she wasn't too familiar with singing technique because she told us that we should sing low notes in our chest voice. Tsk tsk! Anyway..How have you been? :D Busy??
Gina! Today in my music class we sang a scale with the piano and the teacher asked us what we felt in our bodies as we were singing from the lower notes to the higher ones and I said when I sang the lower notes I could feel it in my nose, and she said that was weird! :(

We wanted to let you know that we are opening for SMASH MOUTH in a FREE CONCERT that you are all invited to! The concert is Friday, June 1st in Brea, California. The doors open at 6pm, and the concert is at 7pm. We (Jason & Nolan) will begin the concert, followed by SMASH MOUTH. Seats are on a first come, first serve basis, so arrive early to get a good seat. There will be over 10,000 people there.
