DAWNING OF A NEW WAY is a tune I wrote during a time of big change in my life. It is also the title of my first release.
The first day was guitar trio, with guitarist ROMERO LUBAMBO,CHICO HUFF on bass and ALLISON MILLER on drums.
The second day of recording was piano trio with JIM RIDL on piano, TIM LEKAN on acoustic bass and ALLISON MILLER on drums.

A most versatile vocalist, Gina Roché, is known for her intensely captivating performances.Roché imbues a Brazilian flavor into her unique blend of jazz, blues and original compositions.
Gina has toured Japan, the U.S., the Grand Cayman Islands, and Aruba, singing in different languages with musicians from Brazil, Africa, Japan, Mexico and Puerto Rico, she was an original member of the all female Latin group "Ellas.”
A featured artist at Paris and Bally’s in Las Vegas, Gina has performed in nearly every Atlantic City casino in a wide array of genres. In 2002, Gina performed one of her original compositions with a symphony orchestra at The Philadelphia Kimmel Center in an event to honor Ambassador Walter Annenberg.
She has performed on Good Morning America and Late Night with Conan O’Brien and alongside renowned artists such as McCoy Tyner and Gerald Veasley. Gina’s debut CD, "Dawning of a New Way" (with Jim Ridl on piano & Romero Lubambo on guitar) continues to receive rave reviews within the jazz community. Gina is currently working on her second CD, to be released later this year.

Hi Gina, Thanks for your comment! FYI: the background on my myspace page is a photo I shot of Big Sur near Carmel, CA. approximately 75 south of SF. on HWY 101. It is my favorite place in the world...Thanksfully, the scenic area has remain largely unchanged since I first visited it 30 years ago!
