Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to GinClub's Myspace - here you will encounter a cohesion of exceptional Rhythm and Blues, Soul, a smattering of good old home-cooked Country and Rock and Roll at its finest. We are a 4 piece outfit known for our explosive live sets and capering, japing street performances in our home town of Brighton and festivals and venues around the UK and otherwhere. The group is at its heart a collection of powerful songwriting, vocals and guitar from the great Nik Barrell, who is also known for his collaborations with the divinely sensitive songstress Sharon Lewis, and finely crafted solo performances and recordings (check myspace.com/nikbarrell). Augmented by the ballsiest Blues Rhythm Section in town courtesy of multi-talented Al Grice on drums (who also supplies keyboards and glockenspiel on some of the tracks provided for your delectation), and Dave Ronketti on bass - a stalwart veteran on the southeasterly music scene. Without the icing there's no halfway decent cake of course, and providing deliciously melodic sonic adventures is the unparalleled Charley Villiers on lead guitar, famous in these parts for the aural and visual spectacular known as Charleyville. All keen singers and hollerers us, we also pay due service to our venerated influences - enjoy the music and feel free to offer us comments, or even better, money as well.
