Gini is an indie singer/songwriter from the Ottawa area. Influenced by a blend of indie, urban soul, hip hop and horror pop punk her music emits a very unique and eclectic vibe. Gini launched her own indie label back in 2008 called “Philosopher Records” which she says was a major bridge into the introduction of a becoming a successful artist. " I try to involve myself in many different types of projects. I feel that creating music is one of the most positive ways to outlet our experiences, collectively incorporating that into my everyday life is definitely a total bliss"
Gini is also a very active member of her community. She volunteers and contributes into a number of charity organizations and events and feels this is one of the places she is the strongest. "I'm very passionate about helping others. I really love the connections I make in the community, I feel it's a an incredible learning experience and giving your heart an energy to others around you is not only a great way to contribute, it helps us grow".
Gini's very first dose of the indie rock scene came growing up alongside her father's classic rock band, who worked with some very reputable names in the 80's. Gini found her passion for the arts at young age. A music and modern dance major a Canterbury School of Arts, she began publishing her work at age 16.
Gini continues to write and perform in the indie music scene. Working with a number of great artist's and venues such as Dala, Steve Sheehan, Circuit, Live 88.5 and recently Indie Buzz Werks she felt inspired to start her journey into the indie unknown.
Her first album is an 5 track EP called "Gintuitions" she wrote and went on to record with Steven Foley @ Audio Valley Studios, founded by Keith Glass from the Juno Award Winning Blues Band "Prairie Oyster. Gini is currently recording her second album "Philosophy". The full length album will be available in stores near you June 2010. Thank you for all your continued support and be sure to stay tuned!
Gini Sigler http://www.myspace.com/quinnmaybach I have a close friend I met on the net, A friend I think of every day, Someone whose warmth I could never forget.
My friend may live far away, But is no less precious to me, Because we share each other's lives, And encourage each other To be all that we can be
When counting my blessings This season, I'll say a Heartfelt prayer For my special online friend Out there
And I'll make a wish, As I always do, That the dear dreams in My friend's heart Will someday come true
Thank you for being a friend, Someone who gives me something To look forward to each day, Someone whom I can always depend!
