Virginia Luke, musically known in Los Angeles as "Ginny from the block" started her music career started at age three when, born into a musical family, her parents started her on classical violin and piano in Vilseck, Germany. At age four, she started acting, singing, and dancing in musicals at the Grand Opera House in Dubuque, IA, many of which her parents Jack and Diana directed.

Growing up in Iowa, Ginny's artistic experiences have included over twenty musicals and plays, as well as four operas. She has acted in a number of films, including "Board", which received Viewers Choice Award at the Rebel Planet Film Festival. Ginny also worked with director Jeremy Kagan, director of West Wing on short film "100 Strokes of the Brush Before Bed" for USC. Ginny recently played viola in the 2009 remake of "Fame" as well as violin in Dave Matthews Band's "You and Me" music video.

Ginny studied jazz, tap, ballet, and modern dance at the Dubuque Dance Studio growing up and hip-hop with choreographers such as Shane Sparks and Jabari Odom at Millennium Dance Complex in LA, as well as Gil Duldulao for Janet Jackson's "Rock Wit U" pilot, MTV. 

Trained classically from the Suzuki method on violin and piano, Ginny placed in a number of concerto competitions on violin growing up, including 2nd place in the Northeast Iowa Concerto Competition, Honorable Mention in the Walgreens National Concerto Competition, and 1st place in the WCFSO Concerto Competition. She then soloed with the Waterloo/Cedar Falls Concerto Competition at 14. Ginny is currently the concertmaster of the Colburn School of Music's "Orchestra da Camera" in Los Angeles and recently placed 2nd in the Orchestra da Camera Concerto Competition.

Ginny studied at the Interlochen Arts Academy for two years, studying acting, violin, and voice. Ginny played with the Interlochen Symphony Orchestra, as well as making her debut performance at Carnegie Hall for the TV series "From the Top" with the Interlochen Chamber Orchestra at age 16.

In addition to acting, music projects there have included composing, arranging, and performing the music for the shows "Arabian Nights" by Mary Zimmerman, as well as music for student short films at Interlochen and in Los Angeles.

Now 18, Ginny has recently moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in arts and entertainment. She is studying voice and arranging at Musician's Institute of Technology in Hollywood as well as performing with her group Adam 812.

She regularly records and performs with other artists on violin, including a recent session for Snoop Dog at Capitol Records (string arrangements/violin on "Change the World"), Neil Hellmann, girl group NMD, Lady Rho and hip hop artist Brooke Archilla. She did string arrangements/violin on demo tracks for J. Records/MBK Entertainment in NY in Jan ’10.

Adam 8*1*2 is an R&B/pop/rock band made up of 4 girl members. Two of the recently added members include Alyssa Degati on vocals and keys, and Shauney “Baby”, on drums (toured with Pussycat Dolls, Hilary Duff). Since the end of May, 2009, Adam 8*1*2 has amassed an impressive collection of musical/video achievements and notable live performances in support of their self-titled debut record. Upon its release, “Adam 8*1*2” became a best-seller on CD Baby (the largest independent retail store on the web). This past summer, they secured 42 adds in a 10-week national broadcast and closed-circuit music videopromotion campaign, including A&R Channel (Los Angeles), a video on demand outlet that reaches an estimated 17 million homes nationwide, and Fuse On- Demand (New York, NY), a nationally distributed music video on-demand service available to 18 million digital cable homes across the country and on DIRECTV. Additionally, in a little over 3 months, Adam 8*1*2 was added to over 50 different Internet Radio Stations and Podcasters. They were also accepted by 3 music-licensing libraries (Seattle, Washington D.C., Ann Arbor) who are currently pitching their music to major TV network shows, and will have the music video for their single, “Mystery Girl” featured on iM - a new weekly “behind the music” type TV show for Indie Artists in NYC.
