I divide my creative time between percussion, analog synths, prepared piano, and bowed things (polystyrene, customized/broken cymbals, faux daxophone, etc). Started out banging on mom's pots and pans with a wooden spoon before I could walk, and finally talked my folks into buying me a proper drum set (albeit a plywood one) when I was seven. It's been a torrid love affair with the drums every since.
Current collaborators include John Shiurba, Tim Perkis, Tom Djll, Myles Boisen, Jon Raskin, Liz Allbee, Scott Looney, Jacob Lindsay, Damon Smith, and many other Bay Areans. Ongoing "away games" include a duo with John Butcher, a duo with Birgit Ulher (plus a trio with her and Perkis), a duo with Carl Ludwig Hübsch, Smonta Tutto (Alberto Braida/Nino Locatelli), and stuff with Thomas Lehn, Joker Nies, and Tanja Feichtmair whenever possible.
