GSB have come a long way since SEptember 2007 when Barnard Castle brothers Dave (guitar/lead vocals) and Rob Kidd (guitar/vocals) decided to get it together after years of playing with other local bands and travelling/working abroad. A small advert in NME brought Preston born Bass player Daz Smith into the fold and Dean Jackson returning from University completing a drumming diploma completed what the brothers Kidd had set out to build.
The band recently reached the Semi-Finals of ‘Live & Unsigned 2009’ – a national talent search, playing to over 200 people at the Tyne Theatre, Newcastle. Previous gigs have included supporting ‘The Boxer Rebellion’ at The O2 Academy, Newcastle plus various other venues in both Newcastle and Middlesborough.
Above all else, Gin Soaked Boy have passion for what they do and are not scared to show it. If you’re either booking this band or going to see them play live, one thing’s for sure…. you WILL NOT be disappointed!
