Giorastar I am a star referred him self from a Rasta which means a person that smokes a lot or a Bad Boy Rasta. But this is not where he got the name from his original name is Goran and was given the nickname Gio. He reside in New Haven and bridgeport Connecticut, and also stays in New York Queens. He raps internationally with a hip hop, and Reggaeton flow he is doing his thing. He was born in Croatia 1987, but moved around a portion of his life. He has been around the world, and back. From Europe: France Spain and England, Germany, Croatia and Turkey to USA and to central South America he has been to the Dominican Republic Belize and Brazil. With a Multi nationality of Croatian Belizean, and Dominican he brings his flow very well together raps in about 5 different languages. English Spanish Croatian Portuguese Spanish. He has traveled all his life growing up in New Jersey City, and New York Queens before moving, to Connecticut. New haven Connecticut that’s where he resides now I have been living here for almost 5 years now. I was an average kid always went to school loved, to chill go outside play with his friends ride his bike all that. Always loved music and had a passion for it. I remember I used to love listening to Tu Pac he had a lot to say in the game one of the first rappers I liked in my life. Sure I liked many others Eazy E Run DMC and Big Pun all those old school rappers where great, and had something to say in their history. Later came a new generation I used to love everything about hip hop, and rap. I just loved the style the music everything about it you name it. I used, to write, and freestyle all the time in my young days when I was about ten, and eleven years old.
This is when I started doing my thing I practiced did my thing always I let no one tell me that’s not good enough for me to do. I always worked on fixing things, and making myself as good as possible in this life doing everything I need to. I used to freestyle, and rap in high school a lot even battle people I did it in class on the corner walking the streets and the people loved it. Not only in school I did it any place I was home to work and when I was Chillin with my friends we used to beat box just, or just Spittin anything of the top of my mind that’s how we practiced, and got better. I was always writing everyday every night thinking of something new just like poetry music is life and we as rappers write, and describe what we are about. I first got into a studio must have been like 2004. I been in mini studios before and all that I was so eager to record do my thing. I eventually got myself a studio a mixer a Mic a program and started from there. I started making demos mixes of things doing things, to see how people like it and stuff. I wanted to move up I had my boys in high school and around they had a dream just like me to be the next best Rap/Hip-Hop artist.
We formed a group called Bad Judgment, and I formed my own little record thing called Star Records. we had people we liked like Bock Royal, and Mafia Negara who we looked up artist like Mic Mike, and Nasty too cause me and my boys saw them doing it got to see what their about and went from there. A couple of my boys were messing with some other Djs out there, and some other people my boy Mickey was messing with a Dj name Dj Chemaco who is fraud cant trust a lot of people out here your best friends who you even went school with would stab you in the back. Finding out everyone wants to do more of their thing everyone is hungry in this game so beefs are going to happen, and misunderstandings too. As we did our songs, and our recordings I started doing my mix tapes Giorastar I am a star Vol. 1 my first mix tape in 2007. I am releasing my second mix tape in 08 the second edition of the first one got to keep it moving. I am also working on a cd yes I am a star which will be out in the next year I am just doing my thing. My crew bad judgment Mickey Tuyo, and Tuto are working on their mix tape as well I mean I like working with a lot of artists out here I will work with anyone doing they thing. Later I got in touch with a old friend by the name of Dj nice he is a great Dj will continue work with him on things too he is one of the best in the Tri-state New York Connecticut new Jersey area holla at him for beats and mix tapes. Also Dj pimp in France doing his thing and M.Cash in Ct I see you doing your thing put CT on a map I see you. But I like to keep my music confidential, and personal I think that’s the only way you do your music the best. I am more of solo artists so will tend, to keep my work more towards me. There Is many another artists I look up to out there like Joel Ortiz who got signed to after math my Dr Dre. Also another artist out there I look up to Temperamento who is doing his thing. And some of my other boys Chito, and his Fairside records crew my Ricans out there in CT, and New York I mean is many artists doing they thing out there. I like many artists in new york is a lot of big cats that we know about. Philly has a lot of great artists like Reed Dollaz shout outs, to him. Other new young artists I like is Cassidy, fabulous, and Jay-z I like many top Artist out there. As it continues I hope I get where I want to get got, to keep on doing my thing and believe in god. Life is not easy but you have to do what you have to do and the rest is history.
