    Giraf was formed by Trine Marie johansen and Sondre Justad fall of 2009. In spite of very different musical backgrounds the two discovered a shared vision of exploring the pop-universe. As a concequence of their interest and fascination of experimenting with all kinds of different music forms, they've said hello to both jazz and folksongs as well as her passion; R&B and his; Indie Rock. The companions can tell stories of sessions composing music in an indoor pool, at an Indian resturant, on top of a closet, on trains and while riding horses. In Desember 2009 the two packed their bags and went to an old farm to record their first demo "Love in Rewind". This was the first time the duo worked together with musicians Bendik Urban and Runar Nybø. After finishing the demo all four decided to start rehearsing together and see where it would take them. The collaboration led to a successful ester tour in both West and North of Norway in 2010.

    (jeg har sett så mange løv og et rart blad m/frø som snurret rundtogrundt som en propell og det gjorde at jeg danset litt i vinduskarmen selv om det egentlig ikke var plass til å sitte der en gang, men watever lille vinduskarmen sa jeg for akkurat nå er du stor)
