Recording artists, Steve and Sheila Girardi, comprise the Adult Contemporary sound of “GIRARDI GIRARDI”. This Southern California based concert and ministry team has a history and experience which spans decades.

Steve’s musical history goes back to his school days at American schools in Athens, Greece and Paris, France where he signed his first recording contract, and made his first recording at Pathe Marconi Studios in Paris. From Europe to Washington, D.C. and surrounding areas, Steve founded numerous bands, performed, and recorded his first solo album in 1977. Migrating to Los Angeles at the advice of brother-in-law, the late Eddie Rabbitt, Steve formed his namesake band and played the Hollywood circuit for a couple of years. Finally coming to the realization that his musical gift was meant to be in the service of his Lord, Jesus Christ, Steve has written, performed, recorded, produced and ministered solely in Christian music for the past 28 years. He received an achievement award from Billboard magazine for his song, “Choose Life” in 1994. During these years he has also been a Praise & Worship leader and director at half a dozen Southern California churches, as well as authoring a Praise & Worship manual entitled, “Supernatural Music”. Hundreds of recordings and eight albums later, Steve still writes the melodies that people can’t get out of their heads, and with the anointed words that draw them to Christ. ***************************************************************
Sheila’s background is in classical piano and voice, with many years as a principal artist with the South Bay Light Opera Society. A Los Angeles native, Sheila grew up in Manhattan Beach and took advantage of being close to the music scene in Hollywood, training as a voice-over actor and working as a demo artist for Christian and Country Western music. Music runs in her family - her maternal grandfather was an opera singer and her mother was a singer and pianist. She attended college as a voice major and showed her gifting in composition at this time. For many years, Sheila composed music, played and led worship at several local churches. Now, together with her husband Steve, Sheila has co-written, recorded and co-produced three GIRARDI GIRARDI CD’s that encourage believers, and most importantly lead the way to salvation. ****************************************************************
With the release of their latest album “Girardi Girardi 3” in June of 2009, positive response and reviews have been overwhelming. This is not the same old sound that you hear "Christian" radio stations pushing over the air waves day in and day out.
GIRARDI GIRARDI also provides music ministry for Pete Samra Ministries, an international evangelistic ministry that builds churches in Africa, - as well as being “floating” Praise and Worship Directors/Leaders.
