"Their debut EP 'Haggard' has some of the most intense parts I have ever heard. From the opening note of the EP to the final cymbal crash, your feet are glued to the floor, throwing your fists in the air, and passing around high-fives. If Every Time I Die and Oh, Sleeper had a very ugly deformed child, it would be named, 'Haggard'. Girlfight will be on top of the world by the end of 2009!"

"Girlfight’s music can be described in many ways: brutal, violent, heavy, and relentless will pop up in more than a few reviews once this band gets the credit it deserves and becomes one of the front-runners in dirty, grimy punk/hardcore. But for now, I’ll describe them as one, simple word: Manly.
4 out of 5 stars."

"There’s no way around the facts, I am shackled to Haggard. Dave’s & Laura’s vocals get five gold stars. Emerald Moon’s really got something, here."

"Somewhere there is a list (there isn't really, but there could be), of all the albums I've bought off the back of MySpace friend requests. The pick of that very short list is 'Haggard' by Girlfight. Hardcore that doesn't take itself seriously, but side-steps novelty value, is hard to come by, but that quality is exactly what makes this EP great. Somewhere else there is(n't) a list of the best releases of '08; 'Haggard' sits comfortably on that, too."

"Haggard is the 2nd worst album I've ever heard."
Cory - Pittsburgh, PA
"On Myspace’s music page, there are 642,357 experimental bands, 487,151 punk bands, and 1,898,020 professed rock bands. Evidently, the band Girlfight believes they fall into all three categories. However, after listening to their debut EP 'Haggard', they are off the charts when it comes to classifying their miraculous resonance. The word hardcore doesn’t even begin to portray 'Haggard'. From the powerful song 'Lovegames' to 'Pet Names', a new entrance is opened for Girlfight to take over the universe and create a new Myspace genre called ‘astonishing’. Obviously Girlfight will be the only band in that category."
