About me:
The core concept of Girlfriend Codes is about growing up and letting go of childhood, establishing true friendships and valuing what is important in life. The girls meet for the first time during freshman orientation and trouble begins at Ball State University, Muncie, Indiana.
Meet Ambria Mickler—college-bound missionary kid—who is determined to be the first female late-night entertainer superstar. Her American television exposure limited to “Full House” reruns and The Night Show with Tom Kovack, she’s mesmerized by TK as she affectionately nicknames him. Studying media and communications at Ball State University—TK’s alma mater—seems an impossible dream for a so-so student raised in the missionary fields of the Philippines. Enter her cousin Bren (main character of the TodaysGirls.com) who convinces her physician father to step up and help fund her cousin’s education. Ambria finds herself on an airplane for the first time since preschool, not knowing which is going to be more challenging—acclimating to life as an American young adult or convincing her family that following her uncle into medicine is not her calling.
