"Unlike many pop-punk rock bands today, GIRL is far from cliche. Without a doubt, they are one of the most vividly intense female-fronted bands around." - Darlene Conolly, SG Magazine.
"The songwriting shows both a strong grasp of melody and a knack for clever, often humorous lyrics and vocals that are definitely not the usual thing." ~ CoverZone Magazine, October 2006.
If Kurt Cobain and Cher had a baby it would be Judy.

If anyone knows how to make this play in high quality on THIS page, let us know please! It looks way better on youtube.
GIRL is a rock and roll band that Judy Hill started in 2000 as an all-girl project that eventually mutated into several different versions of a cool thing... they opened for Smashmouth, Paul Rogers and The Village People in 2003.
Judy is the founder of other Deep Ellum/Dallas bands such as Psalm 69, Liquid Velvet and Judy & The Essentials. Write to girlrocksyourworld@hotmail.com to order cds.
Songs 1-4 were recorded in 2008 with her favorite musicians and her new favorite engineer, JT Longoria, at Nomad Recording Studio. No shows are scheduled. Stay tuned... and THANKS for all your inquiries!
*Thanks to all of you who have ordered the GIRL cd!*

I just saw your comment about this photo, I have had it on my page since the beginning, hard to get cooler than this!! I looked in my Suit Yourself album notes and saw this is one in a series that Jim Marshall took! This is my fave though!
I saw a video on Youtube of an interview where she told her Granny that when she grew up she was going to be a country singer! She got a somewhat negative response and said "Suit Yourself"!! LOL! And I remember the awards show, and the comment about the 6 albums!! LMAO! I love her! Have you seen any of the vids with her sister Allison Moorer? I just found them recently, very cool! Anyway rock on, Phoenix xo
I had sooo much fun. I am leaving my parents house in the am. Loved doing the radio show and shooting the EPK. I will post both soon. Hope you're enjoying the pool. Huggies, Laura
I hope you're enjoying a fun and relaxing holiday weekend Judy! And I thought this would be a good time to let you know what a sweet, caring, and good friend you've been to me since we met. Thank you for making such great music...and for making me smile :) xox always, Debbie
