Girls Night Out previewed on October 14th, 2007. This fantastic idea, originally called "Gainesville Dyke Night" came from the brilliant minds of Sarah Nelson and Steph Taylor, who wanted to create an event in correlation with Gainesville Pride '07 that was more specifically appealing for the ladies. Halfway through the evening, in somewhat of a drunken stupor, Sarah turned to Steph and said "damn, I should SO do this again"...to which Steph replied, "TOTALLY". And thus, Girls Night Out was born.
Girls Night Out is open to all humans 18+ (and some dogs) to celebrate the marvels of some of the country's finest predominantly female/female fronted and gay/gay-friendly artists and performers. It is a special night that happens once every one or two months in Gainesville, FL so stay tuned to find out when the next time will be that you can come hang out with us for a night of fun, laughter, live music and so much more!
