A splinter group of Worcester-based ex pop’n’rollers And What Will Be Left Of Them?, GIRLS ON FILM is the clatterpop creation of Chris Wemyss (drums, vox) and Pete Adams (guitar, vox). Originally formed to relieve the tedium of recording AWWBLOT’s debut album, GIRLS ON FILM has since taken on a life of its own as the band has picked up a reputation for being “a whirlwind of excitement and energy” (Darkworld Fanzine) on stage, despite having only two members.
Hi guys!! well, its busy here at Donns Towers, we're playing the Marrs Bar this Friday with Smokestack, and next Friday the 5th July, we're playing at the Gun Tavern with Smokestack again, our favourite ska act BSN(420), new guys Heroes of Hanoi, and possibly more...It's gonna be £3.00 on the door, doors open at 7. 30, and we can stay rockin till 1am so come along! its an all ages gig too so bring your youthful mates! Sorry we didn't attend last night. George has a suprise he needed to go home for... still don't know what it was and I had to celebrate someones birthday. Recording was solid but good. 7 hours of pure nakering... 11 tracks down though and George and I are returning soon to do two acoustic tracks (though we may just do these at home.) It should be finished in a week or two. and entitled 'The Hoax Band is Wank'. I'm really looking forward hearing some proper recordings by Girls. Also the Hellfire birthday should be fookin' ace. I will most definatley be attending.
My speakers suck....so I have no idea if this is good or not. It's hard to tell. I will not say just yet what I think until I hear a decent version of it. It sounds promising though. Keep up the good work! x
