Also, I like to make customized mix tapes and shit like that. Sometimes I'll post photos of the good ones. If you want to a better view, check out the photos section. For now though, here's a few thumbs:

Let me know what you think about the songs, the photos, the book BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN, whatever you want.
Allright, gotta go. Mom's calling me to do the dishes.
*Also, for the record, all the music that will be posted on this page is directly from the bands themselves, with the explicit knowledge that the songs are going up here. So it's all good!
So, I had this awesome idea. I gave my favorite novel — BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN — to some of my favorite bands and asked them to make a song from the book. It could be based on a character, on a phrase, on the sound the book made when they threw it in the trash, whatever. Well, turns out that some of them actually decided to fucking make songs. How cool is that? Fucking cool, right? And any band that asks for a friend link here also is going to be asked for a song (of course, they can say no and still be a welcome friend). Hell, if you, whoever you are, reading this, yes you, if you — or your band — wants to make an original song based on something in the novel, BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN, that would be awesome! Send an email in this direction and we'll go from there.
The opening round of songs are loading and should be up any second! First off: "EVIL TRAIN" by the Brooklyn-based experimental and minimalist noise band NEG-FI. Ryan and Evelyne are close friends of the BC family, and we're lucky as hell to have their wordless, noisy, rocking contribution. The title is taken from the first paragraph of Chapter Six. Prepare yourselves and enjoy! And if you like what you hear, check Neg-fi out at http://myspace.com/negfi.
Not to be outdone is the second song, "DON'T YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE," a lovely, heartbreaking guitar ballad by South Carolina based guitarist and songwriter JEFF MULLINS. Jeff is tight with the wonderful Libba Phillips, who runs Outpost For Hope, a non-profit organization that is involved with advocacy for undocumented missing children and runaways. For more info on them, check out outpostforhope.org
I'm stoked that things are rolling! With any luck more songs will be up soon. And if you're reading this, why aren't you writing a song? I'd love to hear and post it!
