About me:
My name is Gis Johannsson (pronounced geese). I'm from Iceland and I live in Nashville.
I'm working on my third album and, if you are a writer and want to hook up, let's get in touch! If you are a publishing company, also get in touch. If you are record company, well yeah , you know I wanna get in touch.
Prior to moving to Nashville I lived in Los Angeles where I played at some of my favorite country music venues, rodeos and fairs as well as touring over seas.
I've recorded two albums, "Bring Me You" (02) and Native Son (04), so it'shigh time I get the third on out!
I've been on the ticket with Lonestar, Jo Dee Messina, Phil Vassar, Buddy Jewell, Hal Ketchum and Dwight Yoakam. Had great fun too with some of California and Nashville's best musicians!
Hey! Thanks a lot for adding me.. I've got a couple new songs up on my page called "Picture Un-Perfect" and "Austin". Let me know what you think of them if you get the time!! Keep in touch & stop by anyyyytime =) Christen <3
I’ve been a music journalist for more than 10 years. Over the years, many artists and managers have asked me what the best way to break into the European music market is.
Here are some things you can do:
Publish artist press releases, news, and tour dates to the CountryHome Forum on MySpace, http://groups.myspace.com/CountryHomeMagazine , CountryHome Forum is part of CountryHome, http://www.CountryHome.de , Germany's Premier Country Music Online Magazine. Everything you publish to the CountryHome Forum will be published in my weekly Newsletter which has over 80,000 readers.
Send me CDs and DVDs for review and set up an artist interview with me. All reviews and interviews will be submitted to the magazines I'm writing for. More information for which magazines I'm writing can be found at http://www.MySpace.com/ChristianLamitschka
Upload artist videos to http://www.MyVideo.de and http://www.ClipFish.de . Both websites are like http://www.YouTube.com and uploading videos is free. The websites are completely in German. If you don’t speak German and need assistance, I will help you open an account and upload a video for 25 Euro. Each additional video upload for the same artist name and at the same video website is 10 Euro.
Advertise in the following print magazines in Germany: Living Line Dance, reporting about line dance and country music, and Folk Magazin, reporting about folk and country music. The magazines have a high reputation in Germany and thousands of readers. If you would like to contact the publishers of the magazi
that is a real vintage piano my friend...it sounds awesome at the end. the whole band goes away with the piano doing this spooky cool melody. Pretty sweet ha!
1. DON'T SWIM IN THE OCEAN Ninety-nine
percent of all shark attacks take place in exceptionally large bodies
of water also known as oceans. The way to determine if you are
currently in an ocean is to taste the water. If it's salty don't go in.
2. LISTEN OUT FOR THE MUSIC In
the event that you are foolish enough to swim in an ocean, listen
carefully for the music, as demonstrated in the marvellous documentary
film Jaws. All shark attacks are preceded by the "daah-da, daah-da"
chords, which will gradually become more rapid as the shark gets
closer. This is due to the Doppler Effect.
3. SWIM WITH FAT PEOPLE Try
to surround yourself with more appetizing companions. If you know them
well, you might even try to switch their suntan lotion with Daddies
Sauce. This will definitely improve your odds.
4. DON'T GO INTO THE WATER WITHOUT A KNIFE This
is not to defend yourself but to stab the person (aka the decoy)
closest to you in the case of a shark attack. Once you are sure the
"decoy" is bleeding profusely... swim for your freakin' life.
5. DON'T PANIC In
the event that a shark actually bites you, try to remain calm. This
really won't help you survive, but everyone else on the beach will
appreciate you not shrieking madly, as this is quite unsettling and can
really spoil a wonderful day out. Remember it's not always about you!
Today I would like to ask you if you like to help me to support country music.
