On separate paths of spirituality and exploring the electronica culture, founding members of GITAMIND Electronica Music Label found themselves intertwined in their musical and professional ambitions. GITAMIND was conceptualized in 2008 by Josef Nava, Carlos Coto and David ‘X’ Christensen who spent the better part of ‘08 honing their skills musically and planning a way to launch their label, GITAMIND. 2009 marks the year GITAMIND is finally ready to reveal itself to the public. A music label with amibitions to evolutionize the electronica scene by infusing classical music with todays evolving dance music genre.

About the ARTISTS:
Heaven sent, they hail from above with their transcendent evolutionary music, the duo known as GITA reveal their musical indulgences in a way that only their minds can create. GITA consists of Los Angeles born natives, Josef Nava and Carlos Coto who have both, respectively, spent years of preparation learning and studying all about music, spirituality and the electronica culture. GITA has fused their efforts in the form of unique musical creations that are all their own. Signature sounds include musical melodies, driving bass lines and melancholy anthems which are all hallmark sounds of GITA. GITA seeks to blend their classical influences with todays evolving electronica genre.

Josef Nava has been producing music for over 10 years and was an award winning DJ for several competitions in the late ‘90’s. Josef Nava, started off with a MPC-2000 and a dat machine to produce his music but opted to put his DJ and producing career on hold to cement a proper education in formal music theory and composition. He is constantly working hard to maintain and to be at the forefront of musical technology and arrangement.

Carlos Coto, a meticulous and inspired artist is the other half of the GITA tandem and brings to the table several years of education in music and vision, his love of music is absolutely infectious and is translated through the music put forth by himself and this amazing duo known as GITA.

GITA’s passion, love for the music and technical understanding of how music is arranged and put forth into the digital form will assure a place for them in the populated electronica genre.
