Sono nata a firenze il 4 maggio del 1976, quel giorno ci fu un terremoto disastroso, che forse mi ha reso un po’ la persona irrequieta che sono. Da allora non mi sono fermata mai…Sono andata un po’ in giro per il mondo, ho vissuto in campagna, in mezzo ai cavalli, sono nomade da sempre...
Potrei raccontare una serie di cose, sulla mia vita,i miei studi, le mie esperienze musicali, le collaborazioni, i concerti, i viaggi…..ma forse anche no…
Voglio dire…il succo è: presi in mano la chitarra da piccola, e cominciai a strimpellare e cantare canzoni tradizionali inglesi, americane, spagnole.
Poi sentii che stava crescendo l’esigenza di studiare e approfondire la mia passione, cosi mi misi a studiare un po’ di musica, dedicandomi soprattutto alla voce.
Ho sperimentato stili diversi, ho suonato e cantato in varie formazioni, rimanendo comunque sempre molto affezionata ad uno stile più cantautoriale, folk, toccando, perché no, anche un po’ di jazz…
La mia curiosità, la voglia di non fossilizzarsi, mi hanno sempre portato a ricercare una forma personale di espressione e a comporre la mia musica, scrivere i miei testi. Tutto ciò è poi sfociato nel mio primo disco "Giulia and the Dizzyness...after the Alpha_decay..."; disco uscito a Maggio 2008 per la CavernJatt Records e che mi ha permesso di sperimentare alcune sonorità nuove combinandole con lo stile più folk-acustico dei miei brani.

I was born in Florence in 1976. That day there was a terrible earthquake which made me the restless person I am…I’ve been wandering around the world, I’ve been living in the countryside with horses, I've always been some kind of gipsy…
I could tell you many different things about myself, my studies, my life, musical experiences, concerts and journeys….but maybe not…
I mean…. the point is: one day, as a child, I picked up the guitar and I started strumming and singing british, american and spanish traditional songs.
Then I felt the need to study and deepen my passion, so I started taking music lessons, focusing mainly on my voice.
I’ve experimented with different genres, and played and sang in different groups, always remaining tied to a more folk style, leaning a little bit also towards jazz…
My curiosity and will to not become stagnant, has always made me look for a personal way of expression, which lead me to compose my own music and write my own lyrics.
All that brought to my first album "Giulia and the dizzyness...after the Alpha_decay...", released in May 2008 on CavernJatt Records. It’s given me the chance to experiment new sounds, combining them with the more folk-acoustic style of my songs.

Stasera alle ore 21 sarò in concerto presso l'oratorio di S.Michele a Castello (Firenze). Eseguirò brani di musica moderna e jazz e alcune mie composizioni in piano solo. Chi vuol venire... venga! L'ingresso è gratuito. Buona musica a tutti:-)))
