Music and Baseball. I had to choose growing up wether I wanted to be a Rock Star or Shortstop for the Yankees. I made my choice and I stand by it. I live, breathe, eat, and crap music. I don't even dig on this "blogging" crap. My band forced me into making a page here.
Over the last few years I've become a gigantic fan of gambling. Specifically Craps. I think I may be developing a problem. I blame Ken.
Music
What I'm currently listening to...
SIXX:A.M.- "The Heroin Diaries Soundtrack"- Freaking incredible album front to back.
Overall...
Savatage (my all time favorite), Trans Siberian Orchestra (the best fucking show you'll ever see!), Guns n' Roses, Iron Maiden, Queensryche, Skid Row, Dream Theater, Motley Crue, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, my new favorite... Lordi and most all of the 80's rock. Back when people put on real, big, rock shows. More underground stuff like Stuck Mojo, Sevendust, Cyclone Temple, Life Of Agony.
On my lighter side...
Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel (cut me some slack I grew up in NY) Elton John, Simon and Garfunkel, Irish Folk music, classical, Irish based punk rock, like Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphys, etc.
Movies
The Boondock Saints is the best movie ever!!!
Beyond that... mafia flicks, GoodFellas, The Godfather (all of them), Donnie Brasco, American Gangster.
Other movies like, the South Park movie, The Gangs of New York, SAW, Resivoir Dogs, Shaun of the Dead, 21, V for Vendetta all the Indiana Jones movies. And let's not forget, the movies Pat makes fun of me for liking... Rockstar, Godfather III and others.
And any movie involving baseball... 61, Cobb, The Rookie, 9 Innings from Ground Zero, Bull Durham, Major League, Major League 2, the Sandlot I like em all.
Television
First off... the greatest TV show ever... The Sopranos.
Then the other stuff like, Metalocalypse, 24, The Daily Show, CSI:NY, House, Criminal Minds, Jericho, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Entourage, South Park, Numbers, The Colbert Report, Three Sheets and on and on....I watch WAY too much TV.
Books
I try not to read... it ruins the movies. ;) The few books I have read include The Heroin Diaries, The Dirt, Angels & Demons, The Davinci Code and The Wit and Wisdom of Yogi Berra.
Heroes
Duff Mckagan, Slash, Cliff Burton, Nikki Sixx, Sebastian Bach, Jon Oliva, Al Pitrelli, Criss Cafferey, Ozzy, John Myung, Firefighter Dan Swift FDNY, I'm sure there's more... but I can't really think right now.
About me:
I'll assume you're aware that I'm the beer swilling bass player for Powderburn. If you weren't aware... you are now.
Now onto the usual crap....
I was born and raised in a suburb of New York City. I grew up pretty poor, Irish Catholic... that I'm getting help for. Moved away from home when i was 20 years old. Got to Austin TX, only to be poorer than I was in NY. Joined Powderburn about 3 months after moving here and since then I've opened for bands like Drowning Pool, Slayer, Anthrax, The Misfits, Six Feet Under, Alter Bridge, Killswitch Engage, and a few more. It's been a roller coaster ride from day one with me.
