Stanley Kubrick is probably a unique case in the history of cinema. He is the heir to no one and, unlike his contemporaries Bergman, Antonioni or Godard, has no direct inheritor. Entirely self-taught, he was first, at the age of 17, a professional and brilliant photographer, working for Look for five years. He also earned his living by playing chess in Washington Square and played drums in a jazz band. These three activities are early demonstrations of his visual talent, rigorous mind and sense of rhythm. Read more

We are very excited to announce our first 'real world' photograph exhibition at the 13th Note in Glasgow. To launch this exhibition, we are putting on a show on the opening night - the 6th July.
