Advance tickets are available online from www.wegottickets.com. You can also buy them in person from the Oxfam Music Shop (Byres Road) and Mono (Kings Court).

Tickets are in the form of fetching Oxjam wristbands. This wristband will gain you access to all 15 venues over both days. You don't have to come both days, but it would be silly not to since we have 100 + bands including some very special guests to be revealed on the day!

Wristbands are also available to buy and exchange (if purchased in advance online) on both the Saturday and Sunday from the venues and from the Merchant Square Oxjam Stall.

So why are Oxfam putting on this incredible event? Climate Change costs lives. Let's sort it here and now! World leaders are meeting in December to discuss it. We litrally want to make noise about climate change in the lead up to the meeting to make sure Gordon Brown not only goes, but goes with the correct intention to push for a fair and safe climate deal for poor communities. SO.... let's campaign about climate change until we are blue in the face

How can I/my band/my company get involved with Oxjam?
Our line up for the Oxjam Glasgow Takeover is now well and truly full. We are however looking for bands to put on their own gigs in the lead up the event this October. The regional support team are on hand to give you all the information you will need so send us a message. You can also find out more information about putting on a gig and how to register it as an Oxjam event at www.oxfam.org.uk/oxjam.

We are looking for volunteers to assist with the 15 venues over the weekend. We are currently recruiting Venue Managers, Venue Assistants, Sound Technicians, Photographers and Oxfam Campaigners. You need to be over 18 to volunteer. If you would like to boost your CV and would like to be a part of the biggest festival this October get in touch!

Oxfam is one of the UK's most recognised and respected charities in the UK. We are offering local businesses and companies the opportunity to be associated with Oxfam in this fundraising project. We are seeking sponsorship for the Oxjam Glasgow Takeover. Is Oxjam associated with any big artists?
YES! Many "big" artists support Oxfam in the Oxjam project. Keep your eyes peeled for secret launch gigs planned for the start of October featuring some very exciting acts.

Coldplay set Oxjam a mission to raise money outside their Hampden concert in September. They requested we did this musically (it is the oxjam way after all). They had 2 simple conditions:
1.The songs played MUST be Coldplay covers
2.The songs must be performed by 1 of 3 options
A. 1 Man Band
B. Barber Shop Quartet
C. Brass Band.
We went for option C with the help of Glasgow act Pure Brass who were fantastic and will also be performing at the Oxjam Takeover!
