About me: The Academy of Music & Sound is based in Jamaica Street, Glasgow, right in the heart of the city. The Academy has developed an excellent range of full & part time BTEC qualifications, short courses and private tuition classes. All of these are available in Guitar, Bass, Drums and Vocals. Using the skills and experience of some of the UK's top session musicians, alongside fully qualified teaching staff, we offer budding musicians classes specific to their chosen instrument and a practical approach to securing employment within the music industry. You will learn many classic songs and rehearse these in band format, craft your stage and performance skills and work towards regular gigs.

Our centre is fully equipped with the latest gear thanks to sponsorships from leading manufacturers such as Yamaha & Peavey.
Students are given the opportunity to attend Masterclasses with world renowned musicians and trips to industry events and trade shows.
Our full time courses are funded through partnership with Glasgow Metropolitan College and funding is available.
