This comment is not so much for the Jazz festival, but for people (including performers) who wish to visit the festival.
I used to have a different impression of Jazz music. I never liked it until I did a bit of work experience with the festival a few years back. It was one of the best things I ever did. It opened up my eyes to the variety of styles and approaches that Jazz encompasses. It changed me into a Jazz fan. The organizers of the festival and the staff at all of the venues I visited were very warm and helpful. The acts, from the humble local talent, to the major acts were fantastic, which, at the time, took me by surprise.
