Influences
Coldplay, Radiohead, Low vs. Diamond, David Bowie, Kings of Leon
Although influenced by a vast array of talent ranging from newer-Coldplay and Radiohead, to heavier grooves of such bands as the Doors and David Bowie, you can't successfully pigeonhole the sound that emanates from the stage at a Glasko show.
Native Chicagoens Glasko started in January of 2006, and have been performing ritually since then, traveling throughout the Midwest to broaden their exposure. They took the attention of Brian Sarseny, owner and partner of the Rhythm Agency, and with him are gaining higher profile gigs. Glasko has developed, and is cultivating, a growing following in the Midwest. Packing venues including Double Door, Elbo Room, Cubby Bear, and Subterranean. They have shared the stage with Jimmy Stafford from Train and won several local contests. Glasko has also had the honor to receive runner-up in the January Judging of 2006's VH1 song of the year. Glasko is partnering up with Platform One Entertainment to nationally release their new, 11-song album, Madrigold. The release date is set for mid-March.
I got to listen to your CD over the 4th holiday and I think you guys are truly gifted. I did pick up on your influences throughout the music on my first listen. I am so happy that I got turned onto your music. Stay focused and keep your heads high, I would hate to see such talent get lost in this stagnant music industry.
