Glass and Apples was formed in June of 2000 when three DC/MD/VA area musicians -- drummer Jamie Parker, bassist Alan Pachter, & guitarist Paul Pieper -- united with the goal of presenting new music through recordings & live performances. After several months of rehearsing & recording, this line-up released an EP of three songs, "Playing in the Dark," & began performing at local clubs. The group's shows at the Galaxy Hut (VA), IOTA (VA), & the Velvet Lounge (DC) during 2001 & 2002 generated an enthusiastic response from old friends & new fans. Joined by bassist John McCain, Glass & Apples recorded 10 tracks between 2003 and 2004 for a full-length CD. Some of these recordings have been available online, including here. Enjoy!
Hey Slaps Just wanted to say that you are playing some slam banging rocking syncopated beats on the new Rambling Shadows CD. Rog would be proud. Luv ya
Hello Jamie, Dope Ass Dude.
Does your band regularly play the B-52's (FANTASTIC) song Rock Lobster? I sure freakin' hope so, because if not, all glass tippin' to you will stop. And if you do- that's SO terrific. And also if you do, do you have a weird freaky band member w/ crazy hair that basically just makes strange noises in the background? I'm pretty sure the b-52's had a guy like that. If you do have that band member, I'm pretty sure it's you. You probably don some outofcontrol wig. don.
i can't even believe you still remember me!
......i think you wrote to me a while ago and i let it slip through the cracks.... i didn't mean to.... it's so good to see you and hear what you're up to....
