Where to begin? Before I embark on this letter, I want to start with a resounding thank you. These two words can’t even begin to describe the amount of appreciation myself and the rest of the band has for all of you. Thank you to our families, without we would be nothing. To our friends who have stuck with us through the thick and thin, and to all of the incredible fans who have been at all the many, many shows screaming, moshing, jumping, singing and overall just having a good time. It has been an honor to play for you. Thank you for giving us a listen and for all the ongoing support over the past 12 years.
The journey of Glass Intrepid has been a long winding road. It hasn’t been easy, but I wouldn’t give those times away for anything. From Buzzfest to the Warped Tour to everything in between, whether the show was big or small, rainy or dry or whatever the circumstances, we all had the time of our lives being able to show you all the one thing we love the most…music.
Music is a beautiful thing. It brings people together in a way nothing else can. And we are so thankful and blessed that it brought us to you all. To simply have the privilege to show you our biggest passion has been the greatest thing we could ever ask for. The time has just finally come to put GI to rest.
We apologize for the short notice, but for all of you that want one final time to hear some Glass Intrepid music we will be playing this Friday, August 7th at Fitzgerald’s in Houston. Though it might not be all the same members you have been used to over the years you will get to hear the same music that you remember.
I believe Semisonic put it best when they said “every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end.” The beginning of Glass Intrepid began 12 years ago with 4 young kids with a dream to do big things with music. Though members changed over the years, the dream and the passion remained the same. And even though that beginning has come to an end, a new exciting beginning is here.
Enter…Dev Electric. This is not the end for some of us. As far as we are concerned this is only the beginning of the most exciting chapter of our lives. We know there will be some that will not be willing to change and adapt to the new band. But we still thank you for all the support you gave GI. Without it, we would have never been able to do the things we did. And we truly mean that. However, we welcome, with open arms, all of you to join us on this new journey. It’s going to be a wild ride…
So please, go on over to the Dev Electric site at www.myspace.com/develectric. Tell all your friends and give us an add, and there you will find a couple of new tunes. Mind you these are just demos. We will have the new 11 song CD as well as all new merch out very soon so stay tuned. The site is temporary but we wanted to get you guys aware of the new band. Pictures, new music, tour dates, as well as everything else will be added to the site shortly.
Again, thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. May you all be safe in your journeys and we hope to see you at a Dev Electric show soon.

so i have been out of the loop for a quick minute and am gonna miss GI. happy for your new project and wish you success. just wish i knew what happened to one of the biggest up and coming bands in houston.
That was a great ending to a great band Saturday night at Fitzgeralds! We had a blast. It's sad to see Glass Intrepid go, but at the same time we are all excited to see Dev Electric emerge.

man i cant wait till friday i know its going to be a amazing show guys im glad i will get the priviliage to experance the conclusion of a early but lengthy chapter with the tale of another, but longer, chapter being writen in the rock in roll. i love you guys no joke yall are a huge influence on my life and i love seeign yall i know i will always love GI but i know i will also fall in love with Dev Electric. cant wait for the show and to rock out with yall one last time as my friends in glass intrepid see yall at the show.
