At the turn of the century MT Make-up returned to his home town after being thoroughly disillusioned by the crappy LA Rock scene. He wanted to form a band that blended the rawness of The Stooges & the Dolls with a psychedlic swirly-ness like sticking your head inside a phaser pedal.
After a few false starts, he made his current band members quit the bands they were in & listen to the Flaming Lips , Redd Kross, Jellyfish & the Ark for a year while he alternately grew his hair to match Marc Bolan & cut it to match a really cool homeless person he met in LA while selling his Cd collection for hamburgers.
Now they are recording, playing, singing & exploring together like some submarine crew lost in space.

"Solid Gold" features Dr Tookis, AJ Beating, Dave Dart, and myself. Lawrence Ethan is recording some new tracks with me at Big 3 Studios and mixing/mastering the record (He's engineered albums for BASH & POP, MOTORHEAD, THE CULT, Cheap Trick LA GUNS etc etc) The official 1st Beatings full length is due in FALL 2006 released on Glass Manacle Records (GMRI)...this is gonna be the opening track. Here's a very rough mix...more guitars to come by Fernando & AJ.....lemme know what you guys are thinking about it so far....yer the first to check it out.
