Got your tickets for Glastonbury? Probably not eh...

O well, Eavis means well but lets face it - Most of us aren't going are we. Too expensive, too far away, not enough tickets, shame...

Which brings me nicely to the Alternative.

GLASTON-FERRET is here.

Take one little venue in the magickal city of Preston, Lancashire and add one tonne of turf, tenting, terrible barbeques, wristbands, stupid hats and real scrumpy and that's what you have.

Sound slightly stupid? It is. But last years was still the best time that most people who went ever had at a festival and it was all INSIDE A PUB.

We have the Orange Peel stage outside for our acoustic acts and the Pyranese stage inside for the electric cats.

This years GlastFerret which falls on Fri 26th, Sat 27th and Sun 28th of June (same as some other festival I cannae quite remember).

Is your interest piqued?

HOW TO FIND US:

We are on Fylde Road opposite a large metal building that looks like a cake tin. For Sat-Navvies we are at PR1 2TQ.

SUBMISSIONS ARE NOW CLOSED FOR THIS YEAR'S GLASTON-FERRET

Keep your eye on this Space for videos of last year's event and more line-up announcements...

Hi there.

Your festival looks smart. we will be coming along to check it out.  We have some great bands playing our main stage.

We have two bands who are playing the bigger stages at Glastonbury this year. They are 360 & Hope & Social.

From Stockport and the surrounding area we have Hiatus, The Words, Matt J and The Moonlight Party, Haley Faye, The Odd Squad, The 1mage and The Volantes.

From out of town we have Marmalade Sun and Blue Rock.

That line up starts the tour off on Brabyns Park on Saturday the 1st of August 2009. We have loads of other bands for Pontefract and Doncaster who will play alongside the best of the stockport acts.

We also have a Green Village with loads of fun things for the kids to do in the daytime, which becomes the Cabaret Palace at night. This is were the mad DJ's and cabaret performances take place.

Then we have a performance arena with martial arts, dancers, drumming groups etc. Top it all off with walkabouts, a funfair, traders, a bar and a few other suprises.

It a great day out that does not harm your pocket at £5 for adults and kids go free.
