There is little known about the musical project Glasyalabolas other than that it is named after a demon found in the Lesser Key of Solomon defined as "a mighty president, who comes in the form of a dog, but winged like a griffin, He teaches all arts and sciences instantaneously, incites to bloodshed, is the leader of all homicides, discerns past and future, and makes men invisible".
Glasyalabolas is rumored to to be the aural byproduct of (drug!?) induced sessions of ritual possession (think a less controlled "channelling") in which a human host becomes "A Shell for Glasyalabolas".
Initially the project surfaced as a dark ambient, atmospheric project compared to works by artists as far afield as Brian Eno and Burzum. These works (though already leaked to the public) have been replaced and destroyed as if by a stronger, more resilient strain of musical illness... Swirling, echoing electric guitars give way to electronic and organic noise and texture while drums both acoustic and electronic provide an atavistic pulse. Vocals are strained and tortured... Sometimes in English, sometimes in unintelligible tongues... Because of the dangerous nature of the project, releases will be in limited numbers.
