Glavion is a collaboration of musical talent.
Drawing on a wide range of musical experiences and influences, the members endeavour to create a fusion of several genres, encased predominately in Electronica. Although much of the Glavion work occurs out of sight, at times, a physical band will form, and in this guise some of its members will gig small pubs, to festivals, to well recognised venues.
Glavion is constantly re-inventing, seeking new talent, and always looking for only the best musicians to add their flavour.
THE MUSICIANS, TO DATE
Dawson, Eastbourne, England:
Writer and arranger. As well as playing keys, Dawson has a fair for rhythmic patterns and overall production . He has the ability to see a completed mix in his head, and knows how to accomplish it.
Dean, Sydney, Australia:
Multi-talented percussionist and rhythmist, Dean has immersed himself in a plethora of instruments and developed his own infectious spin on rhythmic arrangement.
Suze, Australia:
An absolute natural talent. Suze can fleet from pure mathematical timing to inspired improvisation. A session musician with a kick-ass voice and a wealth of ideas.
Corey, Atlanta, USA:
A voice so mellow yet full of depth. Corey can write lyrical lines that hold endless layers of depth. Add to that an ability to add rich rhythmic guitars. This man is a musical commodity, and a missed friend.
Mike, Eastbourne, UK:
Indie guitarist with an edge of euphoric, powerful licks. Mike's style, driven by the re-invention of the guitar in the 90s champions the rough edge, but dynamically played, chord based guitar style that allows his guitar to appear understated in a mix, but at the same time a dominant feature in the overall intention.
THE MUSIC
Glavion can perhaps best be likened to a meeting of Portishead, Daft Punk and Muse. It blends synth-based arrangements, with acoustic and electric guitar.
