Oh yea I forgot it was number 4 on snes not symphony of the night. I totally didn't realize it was for playstation, I never had it. I have a xbox 360 and it was on live arcade so I downloaded it. It's still hard as crap, sadly I think I'll have to load up an emulator on the wii to play the 4th one I never had the original. Where are you at on your current castlevania replay nightmare task? Great games, just very aggrivating and tough at times.
Omg dude I beat dracula's curse and decided to move on to symphony of the night. I don't know what it was about that game for snes, it's goddamn pain in the ass. It might be cause I'm being punished for playing it on xbox live arcade but shit it's hard. Fuckin no continues!!!!!!!! lol
I went back to listen to some of those soundtracks I remembered so well and found them to be electro poop, but some still hold strong. The more notable ones are some of the mega man stages of 1-3, I didn't mention this one but Battletoads in Battlemaniacs on snes is a winner. Tmnt 1 still stands as well as legend of mystical ninja, that's about it. I think I remember being more amazed as a kid then when I now listened to them...electro poop, but I haven't played all games so there might be some obscure styles I haven't heard yet. Oh yeah, Gunstar hereos still stands as well.
so you re-do video game music, hmmmm, you should look into Bionic commando, but change it up entirely. Albatros stage, and many more stages...make the rifts longer or slide the guitar on the stage five music...you'll see what I mean.
There were only a few games which touched my ears and one was bionic commando, others were...mega 1 through 3, Actraiser, legend of mystical Ninja ( super nintendo), batman (nes), tmnt 1 ( nes)...really tmnt 1 has an awesome beginning plus more...the dam stage had some cool sounds...but dj style change it up by adding beats here and there. Genesis games include gunstar heroes, sonic 1 -2, and this obsure samurai game had a cool sounding death screen, like when you died...it was a samurai fighting aliens...weird as shit. Back to snes...super metroid had some cool tunes as well as super r type. As far as castlevania goes, I think playstations one, symphony of the nights soundtrack was a better one. Star fox 1 on snes had some cool stage beats. If I think of some more, I'll let you know
A Gleeock shirt?! That would be sweet! =) Unfortunately, afraid not that many people would go for one. =( Still, one helluva idea, man. We'll keep it on the back burner...
thanks, i only pick to a few sample, i think i've over did it. so many good sample to use for this game, but not an enough music add to the game itself to do more. i should add my 8bit version "He's Back"
what's up man? noticed you tossed me a request. I love old school game music done well, noticed you commented right after me on avgn. I'm playin thru all the castlevania's right now, just finished simon's quest for the first time since I didn't as a child. whats good?.......
