Artist Statement

One of a kind dolls, mixed media and photography are my main interests. The characters in my work have experienced ironic situations, problems that they've faced and satisfying journeys. It is fun for me to explore a playful mischievous humor. I put a lot of myself into my pieces and I love to share knowing that others can relate indirectly and emotionally.

I thought all of the Sand Baby Castaways had been discovered and collected until I heard the news release. One toxic baby had been found on a desert island, miles from civilization. The rampant unnamed infection that has mysteriously taken the lives of hundreds around the world had somehow reached in this remote location. While human sufferers of the bacterial infection were quarantined and symptoms were not known to the public, what it had done to the Sand Baby Castaway was all over the news.
