Alabama native Michael Turvin met fellow southerner Bonnie Crocker in New York City in 2006. They soon began performing as Glen Eden Quay (a name taken from the street on which Bonnie grew up in Virginia) and developing their own style of homegrown music, drawing on the influences of their Southern origins and a broad musical landscape, incorporating elements of classic country, delta blues, troubadour balladry, and the worldly textures of gypsy folk.
Glen Eden Quay self-released their debut album, Outbound Again, in June of 2008. Recorded in a bedroom in Brooklyn, a loft in the Bronx, and an attic in Yonkers, the album features an eclectic mix of songs, ranging from sparse, acoustic ballads to good ol' country, back-porch rompers.
Though essentially a duo, the band has played with a number of musicians and continues to experiment with instrumentation, reinventing and redefining itself with each performance. However, at its core, it remains the same, with soulful vocals, lush harmonies and classically memorable melodies.

Hi Lads, Still sounding great! That first song is great, lovely guitar sound and great melody. You'll be glad to hear that the credit card should be back in positive mode next week, so I can buy your songs on iTunes. Look forward to that. Have a good weekend Michael and Bonnie. Cheers, Hugh
