Born in Wichita Falls, Texas. I came to Southern California at an early age. I started playing guitar at age 13 after six years of clarinet and saxophone studies. By age 18 I was playing around the clubs in Hollywood, CA. I graduated from the Guitar Institute of Technology in 1980.
Since then I have appeared or played in motion pictures, TV, commercials, played live with major artists and have recorded on 200+ sessions. In 1995-96 I won best electric guitarist in the Northwest in an American Music/ Peavey sponsored event and 3rd place in the Seattle held Gibson Sponsored National Jimi Hendrix competition out of 2000 guitarists that entered. I also performed with the Seattle Symphony along side Slash, Queensryche and others in the first live music internet broadcast.
I have a Valedictorian AA degree in electronics and for the past 25 years have worked in sound and recording engineering. In the 80’s and 90’s I designed and stuffed circuit boards, wired major recording studios and managed the Digital Backlot at Microsoft. I love building and tinkering with tube amps and effects.
Today you can find me with a busy schedule of recording, performing, engineering and guitar instruction.
